The Awareness Times Newspaper in Freetown, Sierra Leone, recently published an information stating that the Tony Blair Faith Foundation has in partnership with Caritas Freetown organised a one-day special meeting with a cross section of Sierra Leone religious stakeholders and Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
It was a very interactive meeting and by all indications you could see the religious tolerance in Sierra Leone where Christian and Muslim religious leaders sat together to discuss critical issues on how to prevent Malaria in their communities.
The Tony Blair’s Faith Acts programs to combat Malaria, have been successful but need to be further supported.
For Ishmael Alfred Charles, Program Manager at Caritas, the event also held special significance as it provided “a great opportunity to interact with the former British PM”.
